Description
Peta Bee is an England Athletics qualified coach, South of England women's team athletics manager, sits on the English Cross Country Association committee as well as a past international athlete herself. Outside of coaching and running she is an award-winning health and fitness journalist, having written for The Times for over 25 years, she was the performance editor for Athletics Weekly for 12 years, and has contributed to every national newspaper in the UK. She is the author of 10 books including the New York Times, and Times bestseller Fast Exercise and the Official 2012 Olympic Fitness book. Peta has appeared on TV and radio and was once the resident health expert on GMTV’s Lorraine show.
In this week's episode Peta shares, some of her concerns around the approach to racing and training for young athletes she has seen, and how certain aspects of these concerns have worsened in recent years. An insightful discussion around the sport as a whole and nature of training and how it can be fine tuned to build future champions.
