Yessssssssss!
During the 2012 election cycle, some of the only things that helped cut through the tedium of banal stump speeches inaccurate polls and even more banal analysis of said speeches and polling trends were Nate Silver's regular blog posts. Now, I'm not a math guy, but Silver's approach is smart, and fun, and accessible to everyone. Now, as primary season is about to kick into gear, Silver and his cohorts from the fivethirtyeight blog are doing a weekly podcast and, if the first episode is any indication, it's going to be pretty great. Here, they dig into polls and trends and other data and observations to try to make sense of the current electoral landscape in a way that no major news organization can or will, and they sound like they're having a blast while they're doing it.Read full review »
