Love this. The presenters’ rapport is good and the political content is great. It’s the best politics show (def better than the newsagents). Thanks to the showmakers for reducing the culture fix to being v short. Really could do without it altogether though - there are other podcasts for that.

A good balance of views from the journalists with some genuine insights and the light hearted stock picks are amusing but informative

The most concise and switched on way to get your weekly political news fix. Highly recommend and great host.

This is a smart, slick podcasts that makes sense of the crazy events in Westminster. No big egos. No politicians presenting. Proper journalism. Highly recommend.

A treat to listen to on Saturday morning. All the contributors are on point each week and there are interesting features about matters other political podcasts tend to look past

Great entertaining political podcast with some of Matt’s standup. Highly recommended !

In a crowded podspace full of political bias, this is refreshingly observant. Lucy F presents it well and I particularly rate Miranda Green and Jim Pickard. George Parker also succinct. Well done!

… that this show suffers from a hefty dose of groupthink. Yours, Paracelsus

Fisher, Bush and Shrimsley? Brilliant! I actually think this is my favourite podcast. I wish it was longer or more frequent. It’s ACTUAL analysis not just news summaries and they stick their neck out with opinions - really good stuff, more please.

Please stop referring to Rishi Sunak by his first name only. You sound like gossiping school kids.

The presenter is very annoying. In the early days he always used to ask for good reviews and nice comments only. Now he’s toned it down to “we like positive reviews and nice comments”. Throughout he has thanked people “for joining” - should be “for joining me” or “joining the discussion” of...Read full review »

Excellent. A joy to listen to. Experts in their field. Should be daily!
Scrivag via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 07/29/23
I read the FT daily and value it’s information base. I am , however, slightly irritated by the clear embedded leftward bias displayed by Robert Shrimsley & Jim Pickard. This is subtlety displayed by the use of slightly emotive and signalling language. Also while Tony Blair’s comment on the...Read full review »

It used to be ok with Seb Payne hosting it. Now it’s just a metropolitan whinge from start to finish. Avoid and I’ve unsubscribed.

The podcast faltered a bit when Lucy Fisher first took over from George Parker but is pretty much back to its best. The presenters’ rapport is good and the political content is great. This was a great podcast when presented by Sebastian Payne however, since his departure it lacks quality and is not nearly as engaging. Have stopped listening.

No attempt to properly evaluate water….vs other countries or vs when nationalised …..complete lack of any depth at all Not sure if this is due to just poor quality journalism, or the inherent FT political bias Either way it’s just sad to see how poor FT has become 😢😢

Lucy does a great job of pulling together the weekly wisdom of the FT’s UK politics team. She brings great energy to the anchor’s role.

Great information about British politics. Helps an American understand what is going on in Britain.
capecodtad via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/24/23
The content is great, insightful and informative. I find this much better now that Seb Payne has gone. The one doubt I have is the ‘culture fix’, where the presenters spend too much time talking about themselves.
RWJ63 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 06/19/23
Definitely not convinced by new format, Seb is looking like a massive hole that hasn’t been filled. However content remains strong and thankfully not fallen into trap of using politician interviews so the analysis remains key to the value. Please drop the culture bit, or make more inclusive, it...Read full review »

This has long been one of my favourites but the perky new presenter seems determined to take it down market. Her discussion is cliché ridden - ‘deep dive’, ‘the health space’, ‘marmalade dropper’ for example - and no doubt there will be more ’going forward’. Worse, she seems to think we want...Read full review »

I actually had to stop and check I was listening to the FT podcast and hasn’t accidentally downloaded something by Momentum. The host’s biases were front and centre and the late Nigel Lawson was even slandered as being a climate change denier simply for questioning the costs and benefits of net...Read full review »
