So pleased Jen Williams was invited this week

I normally find the discussion on this podcast, precise, illuminating and temperate. It usually manages to rise above political party allegiance, whilst holding all political parties to account. Cavendish utterly failed to live up to this standard, summarising the history of immigration over the...Read full review »

I have been listening to this podcast since 2019, and it has become an essential staple in my current affairs diet. Lucy Fisher, like her predecessor Sebastian Payne, brilliantly leads and guides the discussion and analysis across the most pressing topics dominating Westminster and the UK’s...Read full review »

Great entertaining political podcast from FT journalists. Highly recommended !

This would be a solid podcast but for occasional guests without a clue, constantly misstating facts and giving the impression of only working for the FT through daddy

This high-quality podcast is excellent- extremely well informed and fascinating to listen to. If you want to know what is happening in Westminster and beyond it is essential and gives us a balanced view of the activities, indiscretions and policies of our major political parties.

This is a fantastic podcast. Informative, thoughtful and great fun. It is respectful of politics and politicians, understanding how important this stuff is. But it questions and probes and keeps a healthy scepticism. The commentators are brilliant, the host Lucy is superb. I enjoy this every week...Read full review »

They do a fantastic job of taking a fresh and deeper look without resorting to devices that some others use. Not easy but they pull it off

Love this. The presenters’ rapport is good and the political content is great. It’s the best politics show (def better than the newsagents). Thanks to the showmakers for reducing the culture fix to being v short. Really could do without it altogether though - there are other podcasts for that.

A good balance of views from the journalists with some genuine insights and the light hearted stock picks are amusing but informative

This is a smart, slick podcasts that makes sense of the crazy events in Westminster. No big egos. No politicians presenting. Proper journalism. Highly recommend.

A treat to listen to on Saturday morning. All the contributors are on point each week and there are interesting features about matters other political podcasts tend to look past

In a crowded podspace full of political bias, this is refreshingly observant. Lucy F presents it well and I particularly rate Miranda Green and Jim Pickard. George Parker also succinct. Well done!

Fisher, Bush and Shrimsley? Brilliant! I actually think this is my favourite podcast. I wish it was longer or more frequent. It’s ACTUAL analysis not just news summaries and they stick their neck out with opinions - really good stuff, more please.

Please stop referring to Rishi Sunak by his first name only. You sound like gossiping school kids.

The presenter is very annoying. In the early days he always used to ask for good reviews and nice comments only. Now he’s toned it down to “we like positive reviews and nice comments”. Throughout he has thanked people “for joining” - should be “for joining me” or “joining the discussion” of...Read full review »

I read the FT daily and value it’s information base. I am , however, slightly irritated by the clear embedded leftward bias displayed by Robert Shrimsley & Jim Pickard. This is subtlety displayed by the use of slightly emotive and signalling language. Also while Tony Blair’s comment on the...Read full review »

It used to be ok with Seb Payne hosting it. Now it’s just a metropolitan whinge from start to finish. Avoid and I’ve unsubscribed.

This was a great podcast when presented by Sebastian Payne however, since his departure it lacks quality and is not nearly as engaging. Have stopped listening.

No attempt to properly evaluate water….vs other countries or vs when nationalised …..complete lack of any depth at all Not sure if this is due to just poor quality journalism, or the inherent FT political bias Either way it’s just sad to see how poor FT has become 😢😢

Lucy does a great job of pulling together the weekly wisdom of the FT’s UK politics team. She brings great energy to the anchor’s role.
