hit and miss
I think that the Get-it-Done Guy is a hit-and-miss podcast. Sometimes they are useful suggestions, but other times I think that they are absurd! For example, on "voice mail volley" he suggests to leave your full name and number (twice) on everyone's voicemail, including your parents! This, to me, is rediculous. Seriously? And, in fact, my friends DO have my phone number, and it's with them, right now, plugged into their cell phone. So, my friends that I chat with regularly certainly do not need me to leave my number. If there is any doubt that they will know who you are, than sure, leave your full name/number. But much of this can be done with context clues. I.e., when I say "Hi mom!", I do not then need to tell her that I am her daughter. I also thought that the one about just deleting your whole inbox was inane. That's extremely insulting to those who have taken the time to write to you, and it is self-aggrandizing to assume that others' time is less valuable than your own (as the burden is now on them to re-do their efforts.) Thus, get-it-done guy is just so-so in my book.Read full review »

Thanks Stever, for keeping it fun and making it do-able to "awaken the giant within". Well, more like an inner office-manager-giant.Read full review »
