Hanging out with new friends
I left the church in 2022 and thankfully have a few friends experiencing the same transition. Hayley’s podcast is an online space that feels similar to the conversations I have with these friends - unpacking what we believed, why we stayed, why we left, and how we want our lives to look going forward. I appreciate her approach and it helps me feel better understood as I create my life through this post-Mormon lens. It’s tough to decide your upbringing in the church (in my case) isn’t what you want going forward for you or your kids. It’s hard to leave! The future benefits of leaving are real, but it’s still hard to lose your community and have people judge you for being lazy or sinful. No one would do this without good reasons. Hayley explains them all!
