Public vs Private
Hi! I love all of your podcasts and subscribe to them all. I also love all things birth/pregnancy and have been listening to The Bump. I'm just finding it a bit frustrating that we are only hearing the experience from a Private Health patient (Bec) and a Private Health Midwife (Cath). It's a very privileged perspective and one that comes with a lot more intervention and control in the birth world and I just think that most of the women listening will be Public Health patients and therefore the information provided isn't always correct for them. There would be many Midwives out there cringing when they hear Midwife Cath's very outdated views. Love what you do Mons, but just some feedback that you will hopefully take on board if you're considering your audience. XxRead full review »

Look I wanted to like this, but between the attitudes of Judd and the other guests I tuned out. Beauty prepping is depicted as more important than epidurals vs active (standing) births. I'm hopeful that there's a better Australian option out there.Read full review »

As a first time mum I had no idea what to expect during pregnancy! This podcast was so helpful, funny, supportive and simply brilliant! Thanks ladies!

Entertaining but really disempowering. I still remember, when I was in transition, screaming for an epidural because it was so normalised and I’d heard here you can get it till basically the end. Then the cascade of interventions started. I’ll listen elsewhere next time.
