A priveleged out-of-touch pregnancy and birth podcast!
I tried so hard to give this podcast a go. Unfortunately I just couldn’t get past the ever-persistent tone of privilege. The private system bias is so blatant throughout which makes the content so out-of-touch and inapplicable to a large portion of pregnant Australians. Well-meaning I’m sure, but the vibe of this podcast is pretty patronising and condescending. Ladies, head to Australian Birth Stories instead for a more balanced, real and accessible pregnancy, birth and baby podcast.

These ladies meant well. There are plenty of good laughs to be had throughout this podcast, but it is SO hetero-normative and from a position of INCREDIBLE privilege. Made me a little sad to only hear the one VERY narrow perspective. Also, lesbians, trans men and non-binary folk have babies too. 😱
