In Our Time? What about tomorrow?
Echoing what many others have said, this is the most entertaining, informative show that the BBC currently broadcasts, on TV or radio. It's a beautiful testament to the true potential of public service broadcasting, and long may it continue in its current vein; but in these times - even within the BBC - you can't help but feel that this is a valuable commodity that may at some point come under threat. IOT is the only podcast I've ever felt the need to comment on, and the real reason for the comment isn't this unnecessary addition to the plaudits it already has; it's this plea - please make all of the past episodes available. Please open up the archive so we can ensure there's an archive of this material readily available to the public. It would be the best audio library I can imagine, for the next generation as well as the current one.Read full review »

This show is so well researched, punchy, and intellectually stimulating that nothing but five ***** stars will do! I am so glad the show will be back in September after I mixed up the summer holiday with a possible end of the show. Enjoy!

Although the show’s format can be a little formulaic at times, it always remains interesting and highly provocative. A great show for those with a broad interest in the humanities, especially philosophy, history, and science. Highly recommended!!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/history/inourtime/
