Terrible sound. And they just don't care.
This show is so close to being the best weekly film podcast. Too bad it's often inaudible. I'll be listening to all my other favorite podcasts and then this one comes up next and it's quieter than all other podcasts and the volume can't go up anymore. Sometimes one host is louder than the others. One live episode only plays out of one head phone. They definitely don't care enough about the show to shell out $100 for a microphones. Sometimes you can hear the hosts get notifications on their computers. Not sure why you should care if they are this sloppy. It's not like the gritty quality of cheap podcast is endearing like an indie film. They struggle with production 101. This stuff happens over and over again, show after show. As for the content, this show is very celebrity, industry economics, and award season driven. There's not much in the way of actual film criticism outside of a few pithy lines comparable to a sound bite blurb on Rotten Tomatoes.Read full review »

This is the most incisive and intelligent film discussion podcast you will find out there. Both hosts are obvious movie lovers whose breadth and width of film knowledge provide the basis for interesting debate and discussion. This is the only podcast I actually look forward to listening to, and...Read full review »

Was she raised by wolves? Maybe (I hope) she was writing furiously and that's what I heard, but regardless,...Read full review »

Could not agree more with what others have said. Terrible chemistry and it’s her fault. She thinks she deserves to talk more than he does and just talks whenever she wants. I bet she does this to everyone in her life! It’s incredible annoying to listen too. I respect indie wire and it’s a shame...Read full review »
