Terrible sound. And they just don't care.
This show is so close to being the best weekly film podcast. Too bad it's often inaudible. I'll be listening to all my other favorite podcasts and then this one comes up next and it's quieter than all other podcasts and the volume can't go up anymore. Sometimes one host is louder than the others. One live episode only plays out of one head phone. They definitely don't care enough about the show to shell out $100 for a microphones. Sometimes you can hear the hosts get notifications on their computers. Not sure why you should care if they are this sloppy. It's not like the gritty quality of cheap podcast is endearing like an indie film. They struggle with production 101. This stuff happens over and over again, show after show. As for the content, this show is very celebrity, industry economics, and award season driven. There's not much in the way of actual film criticism outside of a few pithy lines comparable to a sound bite blurb on Rotten Tomatoes.Read full review »

The addition of Libby Hill is honestly keeping me subscribed! Explores the film&media landscape with depth. Sometimes Eric’s personal experience with a film is argued too far & flimsily and I lose any interest 😬 sorry Eric, I love Lucrecia too

Some really interesting talks with enthusiastic hosts but they need to learn to stop interrupting each other every second when someone else is speaking. So many buts. Also the way they “discuss” a topic is more like them competing who knows better about a certain topic, hence the need to...Read full review »
