These two hate eachother right? This has been unlistenable for a long time. Anne needs to let Eric talk or find a new cohost. Yikes.

Anne talks over Eric too much and the sound quality is scratchy. The content does little to push any exciting new narratives around the awards season, so the podcast’s relative position of esteem within a prognostication circuit is very much part of the problem when it comes to a lack of...Read full review »

Two violently high-strung critics Kool-Aid burst through each other’s sentences for 32 minutes weekly ..... as with a lot of film publication podcasts, these voices are so much more effective on the page than in recorded conversation.

You both have wonderful insight but you constantly interrupt him and are condescending. I think it’s so important to have women voices in film conversations but your negativity to him feels like borderline harassment. And please take opinions and lead them into conversations. Sometimes Eric...Read full review »

Some really interesting talks with enthusiastic hosts but they need to learn to stop interrupting each other every second when someone else is speaking. So many buts. Also the way they “discuss” a topic is more like them competing who knows better about a certain topic, hence the need to...Read full review »

I appreciate that there was far less talking over each other and a much more relaxed atmosphere.

This is the first time I’ve ever looked at the reviews of a podcast. And my comments are no different: The interrupting has to stop. You both have insightful things to say, but you don’t listen to each other say them. I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard you say the same things over each...Read full review »

Impossible to pay attention or enjoy the content due to them constantly interrupting each other. Unsubscribed.

Eric, do yourself a favor and get rid of Anne. Her snide, condescending attitude and lack of respect for another person's view is really offputting and obnoxious. I have stopped listening, and I can see other's have too for this very reason. Your show is suffering. And Anne, please...Read full review »

I was going to write a review to complain that I don’t like how Ann interrupts and talks over Eric but I see many other people have made the same complaint so I add my complaint to the pile. considering dropping this podcast if it doesn’t improve.

Good show. Why do the hosts always talk over each other?

Some will blame Anne. Some will blame Eric. I find they're both equally prone to constantly interrupting each other or talking over each other. Please allow a moment for each person to say their piece. It's clear they're both intelligent and knowledgeable about film but I cannot...Read full review »

Please get some different microphones or record whereby it doesn't sound like you're sitting in an empty bathroom. The echo and sound is absolutely horrific. Also, I beg of Anne to please stop talking over Eric all the time. Let him finish a question or thought first, then you can...Read full review »

I don’t know how Eric puts up with her. She is way too opinionated and has no respect for him. That woman is simply shrill and pretentious. Too bad they never seem to read any of these reviews.

Both of these individuals are very knowledgeable, but the constant berating that Ann gives Eric, which then turns into an argument between the two of them. It’s intolerable. Well, it wouldn’t be a Screen Talk episode without Anne Thompson steamrolling through each and every conversation... is she being interviewed? I thought they were supposed to be CO-hosts.

Too bad you can’t understand anything they say when they argue. I’m pretty sure they hate each other and loath talking to each other. Fix the sound quality.

Eric, are you able to stop talking... ?! You talk over and through everything Ann says - it is so annoying and, do you get it, we, the listeners miss a lot of what’s being said. And the audio: The great Indiewire, in the media business (I hear), produces a high-falutin cinephile podcast that...Read full review »

The addition of Libby Hill is honestly keeping me subscribed! Explores the film&media landscape with depth. Sometimes Eric’s personal experience with a film is argued too far & flimsily and I lose any interest 😬 sorry Eric, I love Lucrecia too

I like your show and I appreciate your wide coverage of the movie industry, but, please, stop interrupting and talking over each other. It creates an uncomfortable tension for listeners. At the end of your episodes I often feel like you two dislike each other.

Something good podcasters have mastered is the ability to listen to their cohosts and respond to them in time. These cohosts speak over one another again and again, and it becomes very difficult to...Read full review »

The latest podcast-sundance vs oscars-was mono sound. I had sound just in one of the earbuds. And in general the sound quality is poor. Anne s sound is crystal clear but Eric is very hard to hear.

The latest podcast of the above title is almost inaudible, which is pretty frustrating because from what I could discern of the discussion over scratching and seemingly poor phone connection it it seems like a very interesting conversation. Please consider going forward

Could not agree more with what others have said. Terrible chemistry and it’s her fault. She thinks she deserves to talk more than he does and just talks whenever she wants. There is zero chemistry between these two. To make it worse he clearly doesn’t hear a word she says. He can’t wait to interrupt her with whatever pops into his head. Clearly they know cinema. I really enjoy the podcast overall except for Anne constantly talking over and at times talking down to her co-host Eric. I wish she could just let the other host speak because it becomes frustrating to listen to!

I used to work with a woman like the cohost of the show. She talks over the other critic does not value his opinion at all and think she is the center of the universe. I’ve given it three listens and I just can’t listen anymore .
