Both this and the one you did on drugs are excellent. Thank you. So informative. What next?

This podcast is about sex, not love. Love is connecting with others, whereas the episodes here focus on porn, sex addiction, sex education etc. I wish the description of the podcast better reflected the content.

I listened to so much true crime, and I didn’t want a mum podcast or anything too heavy, this is somewhere in the middle. I needed a break and this is it. Thank you.

An insightful podcast that has left me more open-minded and knowledgeable about society’s relationship and perception of drugs. Really enjoyable and thought- provoking. Impressive of the BBC to step up and find an accessible and relatable host.

Finally a podcast about drugs that isn’t just slapping everyone’s face with guilt, but also don’t say that doing drugs can’t be dangerous

Despite a scathing put down of the host from ‘drug snob’ Kris Cristoff, this is a remarkable break-through for the BBC. Jacob Hawley must have dabbled (my guess is cannabis, coke & maybe a little crack) but little else, but this is fine for a ‘host’. It’s the interviewees who are most...Read full review »

Liked this a lot. Am an avid podcast listener and I plowed through this in no time. It was interesting, informative, educational and well presented. Funny too of course! I wanted a bit more detail to some elements but that would have changed the vibe of the programme.

Great balanced argument When’s season 2 coming out !

The idea/goal behind this podcast (other than clearly using this podcast as a boost for Hawley’s career), is of good intent however Jacob Hawley asks poor questions and despite putting himself across as a person familiar and literate in drugs and drug culture, proves himself to be very nieve and...Read full review »

Excellent podcast. Popped up on my recommendation list on BBC Sounds & after just finishing the eighth episode I’m now hoping that another series is commissioned. Balanced views, well researched & not afraid to be controversial.

Unbiased and informative examination of the drug scene in the U.K. Jacob pitches the tone perfectly for this controversial and sensitive topic. Funny at the right times and thought provoking.

I don’t usually bother writing reviews for podcasts, but feel compelled to do so with this one. Well informed and unbiased, this podcast opens up a topic that is rarely talked about. It goes beyond the scaremongering and the statistics of drug taking, and attempts to take away the taboo. As a...Read full review »

Incredibly well edited with balanced views on the whole spectrum of drug use and issues. Love the comedy bit at the beginning also!

The school boy humour and relies on (yet ridicules) the “edginess” of drugs for the lads. The serious side is listenable and interesting but it is really pro-drugs and accepting of drugs being part of everyday life. I don’t think he has the life experience or perspective needed to make the...Read full review »

A truly special podcast. Taking a totally different approach on the subject whilst still tackling it head on and from all angles. Honest, witty and non-judgemental makes Jacob the perfect host. As a mother of a teenager I think this kind of discussion and education is invaluable for us all.

I have read Something for the Weekend. I was interested to hear your episode on Chem. You say you have no first hand experience yourself. For a more balanced report it would be useful to include accounts from women. The notion that this is exclusively done by gay men and groups is not...Read full review »

It’s a discussion that needs to be had, but perhaps with more input from people that know what they are talking about rather than just the opinions of presenter and friends, not that it’s not relevant but it’s a lot of personal experiences and personal opinions rather than scientific fact - the...Read full review »
