David Marr is doing a terrific job. I thought Phillip Adams was irreplaceable but David has brought his own gentle sensibility and wit. I can’t believe I’m saying it, but I actually prefer David as a host.

David Marr has taken over from Philip and brought his own style to LNL. It’s a challenge to take over from a compere who personified the show and I think he has done it very well with his own idiosyncratic humour!

Since Philip left I have tried to listen but I just can’t. I really miss LNL. Tuned in a couple of times but couldn’t stay the distance

It sounds like David Marr is licking his lips? Eating gum? Chewing? It’s gross. Great interviews but I can’t listen with that noise constantly on my earbuds.

In todays media saturated world of sound bites, righteousness, resentment and anger LNL stands out as a beacon of context, thought provoking discussion and sober analysis leavened with good humour and humanism. I will miss Phillip Adams’ mellifluous tones and beautiful radio voice, but know that...Read full review »

The program has interesting topics. Excellent questions. I enjoy the host who for me is the David Attenborough of Australian journalism. Definitely, experience can’t be improvised.

I love Phillip as a broadcaster. Great topics. If you want to hear ridiculous left wing arguments please tune in. One of my faves is bashing borders as if we are supposed to let people free flow in to our systems which citizens have a vested interest. Supposed to just pick up the tab for the...Read full review »

Marvellous stuff! What a gem is Adams. The audio levels vary a bit too much, especially when Philip drops down to a conspirital whisper. The production would benefit from some audio compression and maybe a bit more volume? Thanks to Philip and the team for a beaut show.

Great topics, great knowledge, great guests. However- for me, I just can’t cope with the avalanche of “voice frying” women guests. I have to turn off as soon as I hear it. Don’t people listen back to themselves???

I am living an Australian living in Spain. I am 67 and entitled to a state pension. But apparently if you don’t live in Australia you can’t get a Australian state pension. I would like to know when this changed because my Father was entitled to his New Zealand Pension when he came to join...Read full review »

I love late night live. In lockdown it kept me company. It still does. Polite yet controversial, new horizons opening in a confined private space. Karis

Full of interesting interviews and detailed news story ‘behind the headlines’. I’ve been listening for years and never tire of the show - it’s always interesting and fresh.

I so enjoy Philipp’s interview style. He has interesting guests and he’s done his research well beforehand. He lets his guests talk freely without too many interruptions. I listen to the podcasts every night with the timer on for an hour. I go to sleep listening to some excellent topics but most...Read full review »

I want to thank Philipp Adams for his restless work on the microphone. Since I live in Australia, Adams is the voice who showed me this country in its complexity. He is an excellent interviewer and interested across such a wide range of subject.

Philip Adams is unashamedly atheist and very much firmly ensconced on the left side of politics. So he is bound to infuriate those equally ensconced in the opposite camps of politics and belief. However for an agnostic, swing voter like myself, he represents a most rare and precious reminder of...Read full review »
