This story is devastating. The reporting was good but I feel that the host would go out of his way to sound more dramatic and creepy when he would narrate. His voice is very different, more more sincere when he’s interviewing his subjects. Disliked the theme song; also, overly creepy. Felt a bit...Read full review »

I recently listened to the fourth season on Marc Dutroux. I think it's a great podcast. I am Belgian and was 12 years old when the affair came to light. For a very long time, I avoided this subject because I found it too painful. However, I really like this podcast by Matt Graves. He looks at...Read full review »

Without doubt one of the best true crime podcasts I’ve listened to. It’s difficult to digest the awful depravity of the crimes and the abject failure of justice to protect these children. But a very important story was documented and told here. And it was well-researched and produced. Top...Read full review »

Absolutely jaw droppingly shocking from the crimes themselves to the investigation to the wider network and cover up theories. So so frustrating that this could network could not have been brought into the light and stopped. Very good podcast and very well researched.

I appreciate a podcast that covers a case credibly. This one includes real interviews with people affiliate with the investigation and is thoughtfully put together.

Great listen! That intro music gives me the creeps. This story is horrifying but well told! Highly recommend!

This is one of the most horrifying true stories I’ve ever heard and the full extent of how big the criminal ring was is still not known. Thank you for the superb reporting and production. And thank you for helping expose these monsters.

I truly appreciate you diving deep and investigating this case. A lot of lose threads and unanswered questions speak volumes. My heart breaks for the victim’s family and wish the survivors all the best. This podcast was so engaging and well done I had to write a review. I will say I did not like...Read full review »

Very good. Was skeptical at first but it was thrilling. Waaaaaaaay to many ads though. I get the ads, but compared to others, it was excessive.

This is my second time listening to this documentary and I have recommended this more than any other. It is extremely well organized and at times found it hard to turn it off. I appreciate the amount of time and effort that was put into this documentary. I would love to see this as a television...Read full review »

A rare example of a true crime story that has translated well into English! Binged up to episode 10 so far……

Matt grieves does an outstanding job on this podcast, and I really appreciate his efforts to get to the truth and I believe the truth will prevail. These families are heroes, and I will be praying for them. I was a little boy in Germany when this happened and came to an end, but yet there’s still...Read full review »

This is a well-told story and so important. It is pointed out in the story that we need to hear these things to be able to comprehend what some evil humans are capable of perpetrating on others. And they are still out there, and must come to light. If this story makes your stomach turn in...Read full review »

This podcast started off strong but the last couple of episodes felt sloppy. I still can’t tell if it’s even done or if there are more episodes coming.

As a French-proficient, true crime loving American, I’m sure I’m biased, but this is one of the absolute most outstanding true crime podcasts I’ve heard in literal *years*. It was super interesting and a good listen at first. I had never heard of these events before, and I was interested in learning more about them. Then, the podcast went from factual to conspiratorial. In my opinion, the ending episodes were very reminiscent of the 1990’s Satanic Panic and modern...Read full review »

I’ve lived in Belgium my all life and I was 8 when Julie and Melissa were kidnapped, the same age as the girls. I remember that summer our parents’ warnings about talking to strangers and being extremely careful. Everybody was afraid and we couldn’t play in the street anymore. It was a good podcast, but by the time the last episode was released, I had literally forgotten about it. If, like me, you enjoy being terrified, heartbroken, infuriated, aghast, depressed and eternally hopeful that justice will be served, this is your podcast. Excellent production. Please, Matt, keep at it, the children and families deserve justice! The hotel owner knows!

A very engaging, well researched and paced show exploring horrific crimes, incompetence and cover ups. Recommend. The only issue other than a throwaway comment about US cutting edge technology 🙄 is the dubbed interviews and the presenters narration. Some of interviews are dubbed in ridiculous...Read full review »

One of the best true crime podcasts I’ve ever listened to. Love the host, love the production, love the respect towards the victims and their families. Love everything about it! And for the story, it chills you to the bone. Thank you for doing this podcast! This story needs to be told.

This is far and away one of the best true crime podcasts I’ve had the pleasure of listening to. The show is great. Very well researched and well produced, but the ads are kinda insensitive. I will definitely be keen to listen to more work from this journalist/documentarian. This series is so well done, and his voice is velvety smooth which adds to the enjoyment. Compelling account of a poorly handled case with tragic consequences in Belgium.

Does a good job providing lots of info without confusing the listener. Lots of people involved but the narrator does a great job telling a clear story. Heart breaking for the families and such a cautionary tale when government can fail.
