“I started studying Mandarin at evening class last year and was frankly struggling. Then I discovered Serge's podcasts which have proved to be an extremely useful resource. They are remarkably well structured and progress at a rate which I can cope with. My comprehension and speaking have both improved considerably by using the course, and I have learnt more from it than from my evening class lessons. I have recommended the podcast to my friends at the evening class and would recommend it to anyone. I have also paid Serge what is really only a nominal amount in order to download the transcripts which I see as essential, especially as I find it easier to learn when I see something in writing. Also, I am making my first attempts to learn some Chinese characters, and the transcripts, being in both Pinyin and characters, are useful for this too. “I am a Cantonese speaker and am learning the Mandarin dialect. I enjoy Serge's podcast as it is spoken very clearly however there are some use of words that are not quite up to date.
