I have loved this. I’m almost through all 3 seasons and will be starting season 4 soon. Heartily recommend.

How did I not realize there was a second season to this intriguing podcast chockful of stuff we need to know?!?! So good was the first season I thought I was going to listening to it again. I’ll definitely do that after the 2nd season. Highly recommend a listen. Thanks @dailybeans for the...Read full review »

The information delivered is thoughtful, non partial, and balanced. As reporting history & information should be.

This is quite a balanced look at the history of mass school shootings starting with Columbine. The NRA background and response is also examined closely.

“ …. the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” Not the right of the individual states. Not the right of the state militias. The right of the people. In the Bill of Rights, every other reference to “the people” is a clear reference to the citizenry. Any other...Read full review »

UPDATED REVIEW: The 9/11 series was gut-wrenching but riveting and taught me something new about a day I thought I understood — without partisanship or exploitation. Season 2’s exploration of the rise of the far right was a clear-eyed, sober-minded account — often disturbing, sometimes...Read full review »

Timely topics w/ depth & historical reference that is lacking in our current news for entertainment landscape. I am truly better informed w/ each episode.

I listened to season 2 before I listened to season one because I was interested in learning the history of the American far right movement. Then I saw season one was about 9/11 and I could not resist listening to that too. Now that a new season about guns and gun rights history is up I’m looking...Read full review »

Usually these podcast are pretty good but this one is just crappy half truths and contradictions. It reminds me of trump giving a press conference. I am pretty sure they put a bunch of headline stories in a paper bag and drew them out and said “okay, how is this trump’s or white people’s fault?”...Read full review »

Great podcast, but in the last episode of season 2 the host accidentally says “January 5, 2020” several times when he’s clearly talking about what was happening the day before the January 6, *2021* attack. It’s an easy slip up because he’s having to refer to the 2020 election so frequently when...Read full review »

This podcast forgives any and all transgressions from left wing groups such as BLM and ANTIFA while entirely vilifying any dissenting groups or opinions. Don’t waste your time if you’re seeking a more balanced reporting of covered events. Also, I’ll add that the narrator sounds like he needs some...Read full review »

First off, the facts that are presented are not totally accurate as I know them. The alt right is a problem. There is no denying that. The issue with season 2 is there is some strong implied bias against those that own firearms LAWFULLY as well as calling veterans part of the problem with the...Read full review »

Very interesting podcast series, especially season 2. Like anything else though, it comes with a heavy political bias. However, still very entertaining, well presented and weaves an intriguing narrative.

This is a very interesting and disturbing look into the history that has brought us to this point. i’ve listen to three episodes, and it seems like it was perfect for the Republican party because their whole platform is about othering. because they’ve been telling poor white people and it’s...Read full review »

Season 2 was interesting. But Season 1 was so powerful. The early episodes and last one describing the events of that day were very emotional. I really enjoyed both series. Series 1dealt with the 9/11 crisis & it was covered very well. I lived through it but found it very interesting. Series 2 dealt with the far right & how we got where we are. I found it very interesting & enligtening.

While many of these groups are scum, this series paints everyone with the same broad brush which minimizes the evil of some, and overstates the evil of others. It’s a political hit piece which groups anyone of a conservative political view as a terrorist.

I listened to the 911 series first and was incredibly moved by the stories of heroism contained therein, stories I hadn’t heard before. Powerful stuff. Series 2 is also vital. It’s so easy to forget the onslaught of right wing extremism and all the warnings, all the conspiracy theories, and the limited resources applied to the situation by the federal government. From Ruby Ridge to 911 to Trump/racism and eventually Jan 6. All put in perspective thoughtfully. A++

This is a really well done podcast thus far. Four episodes in, and there’s nothing “new”presented. Better talk about the far left in season 3. This seems like MSM propaganda. If you have blue hair, enjoy CNN, MSNBC, ABC, PBR, Young Turks, etc. then I’m sure you’ll like this podcast. Fox News is far right? You have to be kidding me haha!!
