Outside of academia or governmental departments, the Westminister bubble, despite the availability of the internet, there is a dearth of high quality, in-depth intellectual political discussion which goes beyond the boring daily grind of political personalities. Fortunately, this podcast fulfils that gap: providing an interesting array of topics, introducing new ideas, new trends, new perspectives to someone who is receptive but, due to living 'up North' doesnt necessarily have access to the kind of intellectual public life that exists in London. The LSE routinely hosts the leading intellectuals of our time. Unfortunately, listening to their recorded lectures is often unbearably painful due to the poor audio quality.

Amazing spectrum of topics, excellent speakers, and well-organized discussions. While UK-centric issues may not be of common interest (also quite overlapping Covid-19 ones), single-speaker talks are breathtaking as they are mostly touching global issues.
