“This used to be my favorite podcast and it’s now become almost unbearable. The sound has never been great - poor use of mics I assume - but now there seems to be some machine being picked up by the mics or perhaps ungrounded mic cables causing an extremely distracting noise on every podcast I’ve...”Read full review »

“I find the content here extraordinary informative. However, it would be good for the LSE to pay more Zu attention to the quality of the audio. Especially for the podcast feed. It is 2021-22. There’s is no excuse for bad or hard to hear audio. There are many products, apps that can bring clarity...”Read full review »

“Amazing spectrum of topics, excellent speakers, and well-organized discussions. While UK-centric issues may not be of common interest (also quite overlapping Covid-19 ones), single-speaker talks are breathtaking as they are mostly touching global issues. Also, I find some panel talks a little...”Read full review »

“I cannot listen to any lecture, no matter how interesting or we prepared when the speaker through nerves or habit interrupt their flow with um, um, um!”

“Listened to the economics of biodiversity, very interesting but the podcast made reference to a few slides and formula, it was very hard to follow when there is no link to the slides.”
“Former LSE student - these discussions have increasingly lacked analysis: “we now see this and that”. Especially for the non-economic lectures the discussants revert to speaking from authority but tell us nothing new or particularly interesting.”

“I just tried to listen to what should have been an interesting and important talk. Sadly the recording was badly edited with gaps and content skipped. There was the usual poor audio quality and hopeless production and presentation. A great shame and an insult to the presenters.”
“Authentic Leadership without a concept of authenticity. Dr Rebecca Newton lecture was typical of the cliched business school lectures and speak. Sure it has some value, but it fails to define the very word she uses time and time again.
This is not Rebecca’s fault but of the fools that believe...”Read full review »

“I really enjoyed the podcasts from the immigrants. However it would have been nice to have heard the final part of the last speaker. It is also disappointing that the question and answer period wasn’t included. It would have summarized everything.”

“Simply excellent to see this quality of content available to all online. Fascinating and in-depth episodes showcasing the best and most topical recent research in economics and related areas of social sciences. Audio not always the greatest, and some presentations would be better with the...”Read full review »

“The LSE routinely hosts the leading intellectuals of our time. Unfortunately, listening to their recorded lectures is often unbearably painful due to the poor audio quality.”

“Great public lectures on current events. If you are tired of the same old media nonsense. This is the place to hear cogent analysis! Take a listen and hear facts and opinion that doesn’t burn your brain or appeal to your inherent cognitive bias. Guaranteed to make you think.”

“Sifting through 'clever banter' podcasts, the LSE is an oasis of content. Literally World-Class speakers and the number of them makes me wonder how they organize so many.
