I really love the podcast, especially the survival stories. Only con is the amount and frequency of ads ): makes it hard to put your phone in your pocket and just listen, I always feel like I’m skipping through ads.

Been here since the very early days and this podcast has become my absolute favorite. I love the rapport between Cassie and Danielle, the well-told and well-researched stories, and the variety of topics they cover. Danielle has mentioned being self-conscious about the banter in the last few...Read full review »

I truly cannot get enough of National Park After Dark. Cassie and Danielle are outstanding hosts that are spectacular at storytelling but also at giving care and consideration with their perspectives in each and every episode. Thank you for every episode you do and for bringing us along for the...Read full review »

I couldn’t believe how many times I had to fast forward through ads. Kind of hard to chill and cook a meal while listening to this podcast because I had to constantly stop and fumble with my phone with dirty cooking hands. Also not a huge fan of the tales about “spirits” or “the supernatural” - I...Read full review »

2.5 stars. I’m a newcomer to this podcast and I have really enjoyed most episodes. I’m listening to Little Islands now, which for the most part has been good and interesting. The part about Columbus landing on Plymouth Rock though…..🤔 Columbus gets the entire blame for the conquest of North...Read full review »

I absolutely love how they try to incorporate indigenous peoples culture and stories in the parks history it’s so interesting and because of this podcasts I’ve found many books that have that theme or others about amazing animal stories in the parks. We’re all money hungry in this economy but I’ll actively avoid product from all NPAD advertisers because of how they have ruined this podcast.

Enjoying the show very much however, the amount of times one of the hosts uses the term ‘OBVIOUSLY’ is absolutely annoying. Please buy a thesaurus.

Hi! Enjoying your podcast so far after listening to several episodes. Just started your latest one about the book Women in Appalachia... in the first few minutes, one of you makes fun of the other for saying something with "an accent" - should probably consider your own views about...Read full review »

The amount of books I’ve bought because of these two… and the amount of history I’ve learned! Their banter, their story telling! This is a pretty good podcast if you like both nature and true crime. I have heard a lot of the stories on other podcasts, and I appreciate the work that has gone into the storytelling. Two suburban moms reading a script 10% of the time and the other 90% is uninteresting and unoriginal conjecture voiced in their annoying suburban mom brunch voice.

The commercials are getting out of hand. Too many collaborations that are either hit or miss. The side chatter is increasing and i find myself more annoyed while listening to an episode. Danielle can be too much at times.

I started listening to NPAD around episode 12 and have been a faithful listener since.
