Filming is well done but script is terrible. It's over-dramatized and puts human emotions on animals. Example: in polar bear/walrus episode, narrator says the walruses are "indifferent" basking in the sun a few yards away from where a polar bear is lunching on one of their young. That's just one of many occasions in the video where the producers applied their own sense of theatrics to a very natural event. The video would have been good and interesting if the events had been described without the dramatic music and poor script.Read full review »

A great podcast that I listen to regularly, love hearing from the scientists doing the actual research rather than just hearing from the newscaster. Dr Smith is also an excellent interviewer, nails the questions and comments. Also touch on a wide variety of topics.
