Narration Gets Out of the Listener's Way
The adventure in this book is not so much the supposedly essential "conflict", but the exploration of a new world. It hearkens back to the first golden age of science fiction, though better written. The author narrates with a flat effect that gets out of the way of the story, which makes the podcast more like reading the book and less like listening to a movie, allowing the listener to create all the "special effects" in their own head.Read full review »

A fantastic story told well. What more can you ask for? Nathan Lowell has successfully channeled measures of old sea tales and science fiction into a new form all its own.
