“I am a HUGE fan of NPR and this show is no different. Bringing its listeners insightful stories that are timely as well as presented in an easy to understand way is what I've come to love about NPR. I am getting a little annoyed at their podcasts, however. (NOTE: I understand I'm not rating all of NPR's podcasts, just this one, but hear me out). "SciFri" is not a podcast, it's a recording of the radio show. As such, it includes the only negative thing I'd have to say about the host, his INTERRUPTIONS OF THE INTERVIEWEES! I understand he's probably required to take these "station breaks," but his seem a bit excessive and at times a bit rude (and extremely unnecessary in a podcast). SCIFRI also seems to share (at times) the EXACT SAME PODCAST (same host, same material, same interviews) as NPR's Environment. I haven't figured that out yet.
Enough of my rant, this podcast is, at times, awesome and annoying. I'm going with the middle of the road here.”Read full review »
