Stellar!
So delighted to find this podcast! Normally I wouldn't take my chances on such a young one (at the moment only about 15 episodes), but I was immediately hooked. Thoughtful, erudite, wide-ranging commentary, and just about the best use of music on any podcast I've listened to. Plus, it has reminded me of my past love for Agatha Christie (my admiration for Dorothy L. Sayers has never dimmed) and given me a fresh appreciation for oft-maligned "genre" fiction. Hurrah and kudos and looking forward to many more episodes!Read full review »

Truly entertaining and interesting look back at the golden age of detective fiction with some fresh prospectives and an accessible intellectual undercurrent.

I love hearing the breakdown behind these wonderful books that’s I’ve never had time to read but love watching the adaptations.

I’ve loved the Golden Age mystery stories for years, and I’ve come to accept that they are mostly mere entertainments. But this podcast has a lot of insights that bring the comforting thought that there might be more to them than that. Keep up the great work!
