Great Information
Everyone of us went to middle school. Most probably remember it to be a very awkward time, I know I did. I was lucky enough to stumble across a podcast that talked about exactly that. This podcast was produced by Talking to Teens and the episode was called “Growing Apart in Middle School,” as well as, “What to Say to Motivate Your Teen.” Personally, the most memorable thing to me about this podcast was how relatable it was. When you’re at that awkward preteen age, you may feel that the world is against you. The overall assumption is that this is the hardest part of your life, both for you and your parents. The thing I found most confusing about this podcast is that they were trying to explain how you can talk to your kid without being overwhelming. However, after listening they really did not give any tips on how to do this. Don’t get me wrong, this was very useful information, but it just wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. My biggest question is what are some tips and tricks to keep your kid from being overwhelmed by you. I felt very strongly about what they said about pushing your kid to talk to you. Their stance was, if you push to get your kid to talk to you then it will only make them push away more. That is how I was as an early teen, and honestly, I’m still like that now. That being said, every person is different, however, from what I’ve seen this holds true. I would give this a 3 star rating, as this was very good information, it just wasn’t what I was looking for personally.

The guests and topics are so important and I’m trying so hard to like this podcast but I feel that it falls short with every single episode. The host’s interview style and lack of follow through on questions leaves me wondering why the expectations are set so high at the beginning of the episode...Read full review »

What great content! I wish I heard about this years ago. I sent this around to my private podcast club, and all the parents loved it so far. Keep up the great work!
