Taste Buds is awesome!!! Who doesn’t want to listen to people talk about food and the restaurant industry?! Taste buds is interesting, funny, and so accurate. And foodie will love this podcast!

I feel like this is harsh but this pod cast feels very generic and sloppy. The audio production quality is okay but could be much better. Take a note from the No Agenda prodcast their audio fidelity is the best out there. As for content I am an Italian home cook and this prodcast doesn't...Read full review »

I would be able to listen to this podcast if they didn’t eat so damn loudly while talking. Mouth smacking sounds are so disgusting!

I love this podcast! I am a chef in Ontario and I feel like this podcast was made for me. I heard some things about the industry and culture locally that I needed to hear. And I love the conversations, keep up the good work! I’ll be following

I love everything about this show. The interviews are so interesting and absorbing and has taught me so much about the food industry. I can’t wait for season 2!!!

Perfect length for my commute, I want more

There was one episode where the woman had a REALLY interesting story and she barely got any time to speak. When she did, it was for a few minutes. That should’ve been explored further. It’s an interesting podcast and I’ll continue to support it though

Haha... the content is alright having had experience working in a kitchen before... seems a little loose so far. I do not like hearing the food snacks and slurps...so that’s off-putting... but I enjoy the casualness of it and hearing the different perspectives and stories surrounding food culture...Read full review »

Enjoyed the content, coverage of topics, and the saltly real conversation. Thanks for the insight

I've listened to all the episodes in the first season and i feel like I'm getting the inside scoop on the restaurant industry. Love being the fly on the wall. Even loved the munching sounds of eating invisible food. Looking forward to season 2.Read full review »

My summary: A podcast where people are eating and talking about uninteresting local topics with no relevance to non-locals.

Love your style. Can’t wait to here more from you

I’m wondering who at Canadaland thought “hey, let’s get a food writer to interview chefs while they eat!” was a good idea. I mean, yeah, let’s listen to them chat around a mouthful of dumpling. That’s what my audio landscape was missing.
TheBitterGuy via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 08/10/18
I really love this concept. The host Corey and some guests don’t mix that well with some of the female guests early on - they have great rapport - but the host allows the male guests to interrupt, joke and talk over very interesting origin stories and moments. It seems reflective of the industry...Read full review »

Big Corey fan and wishing you every success. Have noticed that the women in podcast 2 and 3 get minimal airtime. It has to be more than just the bros.

Living in the GTA, I was hoping to support a great local podcast. Ep 1 was terrible and unprofessional all around. No one wants to hear your personal issues with each other. Ep 2 was meh. I’m out.

All good stuff but dear god please Stop eating while recording a podcast! Nothing worse than high end mic’s picking up every sloppy smack and snap of food while you are mid speech. I feel like I’ve been inside of your mouth.
finkubus via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 08/01/18
Half way in I turned it off. Having someone speak with their mouth full was just awful. Guests need to be mindful that they are being recorded. It was too bad as the content was interesting. I’ll be back for the next however.

I am a waiter at a local high end restaurant and I thought this would be a very chef focused podcast but it’s for everybody. I seriously cannot wait for more episodes. I love everything about this podcast and now most of the kitchen I work with has heard the new episode

Have followed Corey’s writing for a while, and love this show concept. Can Jen Agg be a guest on every episode?!

Self indulgent 30 minutes. Waste of my evening.

Boring therapy session featuring self important restaurant owner and critics having a circle jerk. I learned nothing from this

Thus far, anything made by Canadaland has been amazing! This show is no exception. Well produced, interesting content, worth your listen.

Corey is warm and intelligent. A great podcast for anyone curious about the behind the scenes world of restaurants and the people who work in the industry.

Great podcast. Like his writing, Corey makes you feel like you’re a friend sitting at the table.

Can’t believe Jesse Brown didn’t scoop up his buddy Corey faster. Episode 1 is some of the best radio Canadaland has done to date. Truly hope this is a long running gig for all involved. Very happy I’m supporting Canadaland, will definitely continue to do so now. Pumped for more!

Just listened to the premiere episode. Really enjoyed Jen and Chris’ banter, looking forward to the next one!

Just listened to the first episode, in which host Corey Mintz sits for a conversation with a critic and a restauranteur with a history. The conversation was pretty fun and freewheeling and each speaker seemed to fit and live up to their archetypal roles. Would have loved to hear more about what...Read full review »

Kind of inevitable, but excited to hear Corey in this medium supported by CANADALAND. The first conversation with Jen and Chris was insightful and entertaining. Looking forward to more
