The presenter is infantile in both her self-absorption (a handwritten letter from Attenborough, pleading her mum by interviewing Mary Beard,) and she is so childish around her interviewees.

I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to these excellent podcasts which have added further detail and insight to the glorious BBC 1 series. Viv Jones is a delight to listen to and I hope to hear more from her in the future.

I’m no longer tempted to ‘binge...Read full review »

I loved Kenneth Clark’s original and, from the evidence of the first BBC 2 programme, I’m going to enjoy the juxtaposition of a different and wider approach from the three eminent historians involved. The podcast is an adept adjunct to the series, interesting and moving in turn and I think that...Read full review »
