“I am an avid listener of CBC radio whether it is podcasts, in my car or live streaming to my iphone. The Current always covers a wide variety of great topics and does a great job of getting guests on the show that know about the issues at hand.
However, this is all undone because the host Anna Maria Tremonti's interview style is upsetting to say the least. She will interrupt guests who are experts in their field to wield her version of the story or berate them over some flaw that she sees (which for the most part is unjustified). The show's format works to foster lively debate in a free and open setting but Anna Maria destroys that settting with her aggression towards the guests and disregard for thier right to make a complete point.
The Current podcast with a host that has a proper journalistic approach would undoubtedly get a 5-star rating from me.”Read full review »
