A very accessible podcast...
David's accessible style often brings to mind one of my favourite recent history books - The Time Travellers Guide to Medievel England, by Ian Mortimer. David has the very special ability to inject just the right amount of personality and humour whilst still delivering an authoritive and well researched account of the topic at hand. I enjoy the historiography at the start of the podcasts, which adds credibility and depth to the piece. I am also particularly fond of the various social history asides which crop up every now and then. Overall, an excellent podcast and from a fellow member of the Leicestershire fold to boot!! Thank you for your hard work David! James MilesRead full review »

I find the podcast very informative. Entertaining personality, and though a little fast at first, he's found his pace.
