Navigating eating disorder recovery is really difficult, especially with the influences of those still struggling around you cause confusion and uncertainty on your food freedom journey. Family stuck in diet culture can add a challenge to your recovery, but that doesn’t make it impossible. So in this episode, you’ll learn the key concepts of understanding how to make progress in your relationship with food and body, despite the influence of those around you. In today’s episode, I’m joined by Kristen Bunger, a Christian registered dietitian and author, to talk about recovering from eating disorders when your loved ones still haven't. We’ll discuss how family has the ability to influence so much of our lives, in both good and bad ways. You’ll also hear us touch on the idea of storywork and finding healing through evaluating core beliefs. And, we’ll talk about practical approaches to move past your present frustrations and limitations and find freedom through forgiveness and boundaries.
