I can’t believe I had been missing out on this podcast! This is the first podcast I have listened to where I have enjoyed every _single_ episode. The topics are so diverse. The conversation feels casual, yet structured. Every guest is interesting, and Shane always seems to get the best out of...Read full review »

Shane Parrish is an exceptional host - his calm, no rush approach and deep questioning makes for a great listen. The content shared has been great, and I love tuning in. Thanks guys!

Eh
The host is not a host. The guests run the show. It’s completely an insiders listen. Sometimes you get a gem. You’re better off with getting a blurb from the newsletter than just listening. Oh and way too long.

Shane is one of the preeminent interviewers in podcasting. He’s brilliant, thoughtful, and an excellent speaker. He consistently asks the best questions I’ve heard, and gets excellent guests. This is one of my favourite podcasts, and I don’t miss an episode. You shouldn’t either.

Wow
The Poker Player episode with Maria Konnikova is pretty mind blowing for me. Couldn’t have come at a better time. Thanks Shane!

Shane’s show is one of my long time favourites. Very inspiring interviews with well respected minds. Shane always has an incredible talent for asking epic “drill down” follow up questions. Love it!

The current one with BJ Fogg is horrible. He seems like an insufferable ass. So he’s apparently an academic who surfs and creates models. I’m sorry, but your podcasts are usually good; at least the ones I have listened to. But this one is really bad.

I think many of the advice comes from too much white privileged and not a lot of awareness.

Shane is curious and inquisitive, making for a really fascinating listen every episode. I feel like Shane and his guests put into words what I see and experience everyday. Keep it up! You’ve got me hooked!

This show has some amazing information; however, it is intermixed with political opinion portrayed as fact. Specifically I am referring to episode #83-“What Really Matters.” Perhaps what should really matter is being unbiased and eschewing political opinions that may offend people? Perhaps Shane...Read full review »

Really cool to have all these opinion leaders talking in my room.

You could have at least had a registered dietitian on instead of this fool. I have lost a lot of respect for your podcast. Shame on you! You should get Donald Trump on to tell you about nutrition & healthcare!

Long time listener catching up on my reviews.. and shocked that this only had 1600 ratings. Shane is a great interviewer, and unafraid to ask tough questions - the recent Ackman ep was a good example.. would love to see a bit more diversity, but keep up the good work!

The topics sound so interesting, but it’s not interactive enough. Basically, the guests just give a monologue.

Mental models will improve your ability to navigate life successfully. Shane Parish brings out the best in his subjects and digs out how they approach life with their own mental models. A wide range of subject matter but always on point.

Shane’s podcast is one of the best among the best, in my opinion. Not only because of the intellectual pleasure and the sense of being on the same wavelength, but also because it is time efficient. The questions are sharp and to the point. I also appreciate the no-politics rule. Crisp, sharp,...Read full review »

Shane is a curious, humble interviewer. His guests are credible and down to earth in the interviews.

Shane, you gotta do something about the deterioration and fluctuation (from episode to episode) of the recording / audio quality. I can’t listen to it like this AT ALL. This seriously is unbearable.

The podcasts are really good. Enjoyed it. Recommend to everyone. I really liked the deep discussions with experts, it’s kind of pleasure to see how do they think, like whom you dreamed of becoming in the future.

I really like the guests on this show. However Shane’s voice and his tempo make it difficult to listen to the podcast. I think the music at the beginning doesn’t match the show. It sounds like a setup for Masterpiece Theatre. Just my humble opinion.

Great show! Unfortunately, can’t understand the sponsor to save my life, can you enunciate or spell it? Metal Lab? Metta lab? Medal labs?

Shane’s conversations are always so wonderfully considered - his breadth reflected in the impeccable conversations with Esther Perel and Emily Nagoski about our closest relationships. Potentially life changing, and certainly not anticipated when I first started avidly following his conversations.

I used to listen to every episode of this podcast as soon as it became available, but now I am quitting episodes halfway through. Some recent guests have been so full of themselves that it was difficult to listen to them with an open mind, and Shane did not seem to be posing challenging questions...Read full review »

Interesting topics and guests but the host’s voice is unlistenable. He sounds like a whiny valley-girl with a horrible Canadian accent. Moving on, good luck!

This podcast makes me think more than most. Wish I would have listened to episode 68 before I read, “Thinking Fast and Slow” because the author , Daniel Kehnamen, basically discredited the box at the 1:01:50 mark of the episode. You can probably do an entire episode on that personal...Read full review »
