Good & bad
As an EFT therapist, it’s hard for me to not critically review these podcast episodes. I applaud Julie’s courageousness in airing her therapy sessions to listen to. I also think it’s great that EFT gets promoted as it’s definitely the gold standard for a couple therapy. However, I hear Julie conjecturing (guessing the clients feelings or offering suggestions about the clients feelings) way too much in these sessions. I hope she will slow down, ask the appropriate questions to explore and unpack the clients’ inner emotional worlds. She should allow clients to come up with their own insights, language, and knowledge of their feelings and develop the ability to articulate them without so much help from her.
