“Jonathan Singer, LCSW, is a great podcaster with a vast storehouse of knowledge. I just discovered this podcast and have made my way through most of the episodes, listening to some more than often. This podcast is perfect for the social work student (I am an MSW student) as well as folks who are themselves in therapy and want to learn more about therapeutic approaches. Even if you've covered some of the topics in class, there will be something entirely fresh for you in each podcast. Singer covers the history of each approach, defines the approach, gives great examples from actual therapeutic situations, compares this approach to other approaches (e.g. Gestalt Therapy compared to Freudian Psychoanalysis), discusses the pros and cons of each approach, gives resources for further study, and even has some participatory exercises for the listener! I highly recommend this podcast!”Read full review »
