The real deal
If you're looking to learn how to train, this podcast is one of your best resources. Everywhere I looked for climbing training information I found tons of contradicting information which left me confused, and a bit frustrated at times. The TrainingBeta Podcast cuts through that confusion by showing objectively how each climber and trainer approaches climbing training, allowing us to see that every person has their own style. Neely doesn't preach that there is a 'right' way to train, but rather puts TONS of different training information side by side so you can try stuff out and find what's right for you. If you're looking to get better at climbing and hear some awesome and entertaining dialogue, you have to check out this podcast!Read full review »

Interesting podcast, but for sure geared heavily towards sport climbing and bouldering. It would be really nice to see some interviews with alpinists, so we can see how they train compare to run of the mill sport climbers. It would be really nice to hear from Steve House or Mark Twight!

The show has really improved since I first started listening to it. The standout interviews so far (for me) are Steve Bechtel, Eric Horst, and the Anderson brothers. You can really get some good training tidbits from each podcast. Highly recommended for folks that enjoy training for rock climbing!
