Meh.
TL;DR: Don't bother - hosts are too consumed by their own cleverness to actually hold an interesting discussion about the book at hand. I was excited about this at first - I downloaded the Outlander episode because I love to hate on Outlander and was excited to listen to some like-minded peeps bag on it. However... I really wanted to listen to them discuss it intelligently, and while they brought up a couple of great points and valid criticisms (gay panic, fanfiction/Mary-Sue aspect), it seemed like they were far more interested in pretending they were too cool to read the book at all or remember anything about it. At several points throughout the podcast, the hosts could barely get any words out because they were all laughing too hard at their own (lame) jokes. This pretense got way old after about five minutes. I listened to the bitter end to see if this podcast had any redeeming qualities - my answer to that is a resounding "no."Read full review »

I really enjoy the dramatic readings from the book of the week and the balance of silliness/contagious giggling and insightful comments about the text. Most episodes make me laugh out loud - always a good sign.

I laugh out loud when I listen to this podcast (mostly when I'm walking my dog). It's so funny but also informative. I can't wait to see what Kait and Renata tear into next.Read full review »

These ladies make me laugh and constantly remind me to read more. They often have audio problems but you get used to it. Fun.
