Guys often your mics are so static and distorted. It’s almost uncomfortable listening to your show. You guys gotta get a better engineer or better equipment because your podcasts are not sounding very good. particular your last episode it was just so distorted and trebly and it’s not my equipment.

So differential to John and dissing Paul, as usual from these guys. And it would be nice if an author discussing Paul’s career, at least liked him as a man and a musician. It’s not the criticisms it’s the tropes and stereotypes that disappoints, can we get beyond them. Thanks.

While some of these blokes can occassionally sound like crotchety old men (I’m looking at you, Darren), they usually bring an experienced perspective to their discussions. The highlight of this podcast has been their scoop of getting Peter Jackson to appear and talk at length on some of the most...Read full review »

I’m not sure if y’all are able to control your advertising or if it’s all up to Apple podcasting, but the last thing I want to hear on a podcast associated with John Lennon is an ad marketed for gun lovers. I don’t care about your personal politics(y’all have done a good job not bringing any up...Read full review »

I respect the hosts for their greatly varying degrees of knowledge of all things Beatle, but the podcast itself is dull and often a bit irritating — the result, I think, of the loose structure that causes the hosts to constantly fall silent while waiting for someone else to talk or pose a...Read full review »

The audio quality is terrible: tinny, very low fidelity. This is particularly baffling considering DeVivo is a professional broadcaster. Often the guests are let to ramble, and I think the interviewers need to keep them on point. Sometimes they get things flat-out wrong: for instance, the recent...Read full review »

I really think you are out of touch with how most Beatles fans feel about Yoko. Surely there are other better, less frequent, topics. Maybe some younger fans who haven't heard the Nagra tapes and only watched Peter Jackson's white washed Get Back have a different impression of Yoko...Read full review »

Decided to check this out after seeing it suggested for so long as per my Beatles p’cast-devouring habit. They know their Fab-stuff (esp. Kozinn) but take needless minutes starting/going off-topic during eps. Took a whole 20+ mins. to approach main topic in #373 (John & Paul similarities)...Read full review »

The titles of the more recent episodes don’t match up with the content. Where’s the one on Revolver?

I’ve tried a few episodes but couldn’t get past the incessant whining(on episode #365) about Paul’s set list and his voice. It’s already been talked about it(especially his voice) at a nauseating level on social media but was hoping for more talk of stuff like the album “Tug of War” which is what...Read full review »

I’ve listened to Things We Said Today for years and often go back to listen to past podcasts. Allan, Ken and Darren’s discussions are always informative and interesting. Listening to the show is like hanging out with friends – not any old friends but those who share my same passionate interest...Read full review »

Listening to your show on: “The Lyrics”, it strikes me that you guys are having great difficulty accepting new information. While I can accept that Paul makes mistakes memory wise as we all do, I’m interested in learning new things like the story on “ Eleanor Rigby”. I don’t question at all why...Read full review »

You can draw the line where Paul McCartney died in late 1966! Then new Paul started writing and he was a better musician than real Paul!believe it! That why John and fake paul didn’t get along!

sorry but when the interviewer asks why john changed his opinion on the rolling stones (and other matters) and doesn't understand that people change their minds even john...is childish.Read full review »

I’m a long time listener and was shocked to see the small amount of reviews on iTunes. Us beatle fans are so lucky with the amount of quality Beatles podcasts and this it up there with the best. I like that the line up has changed over the years this keeps it fresh. Big thank you to all the...Read full review »

Love the discussion, the insight and truly enthusiastic debate. Highly recommend. But I’m listening to the Plastic Ono Band “review”. Avoid. Completely misses the point to the point of absurdity. Awful, puerile dismantling of a startling, personal statement that has stood the test of time. It’s...Read full review »

...and listen to every episode. 2 improvements I would suggest: 1) Skip the lengthy intros. We all know who the guys are now. I’ve gotten to the point that once I hit play on a new episode, first thing I immediately skip forward 2-3 minutes. 2) The noises in the background seem to be getting...Read full review »

Good interviews and reasoned discussions about the latest news in Beatle-dom (and Beatle related-dom). Ken and Steve are knowledgable, upbeat and exceedingly polite about the Fabs.
