Cute Idea, but Spoilers Abound.
I like the premise of this podcast, but beware if you haven’t seen a show that it will be spoiled proper for you. It’s an interesting concept that helps listeners understand how TV narrative drama works to unfold over several seasons. My reservation is that this will do a disservice to shows that require the journey of every episode unfolding to truly understand its meaning and depth. Plot and character are not the only elements of a television show and I fear this format will unnaturally promote them to a focus that won’t allow the true value of some shows to shine through. Excellent production and so far great guests.

Love the guests, but it comes down to the show. The Veronica Mars pod doesn’t work as well in terms of what the pilot sets up and where the finale leaves off, but it still made for an interesting conversation. I’ll admit I was skeptical of this premise, but I will always give an Alan Sepinwall podcast a chance. I’m glad I did because this one is lots of fun! I just hope the caliber of guests can continue at this level because the bar has been set very high by the first 2 episodes!
