Very well researched and articulated. Soothing execution of some unsavoury situations and definitely holds the audience captive. Well done and please keep it going!!!!

Nice to have so much detail. Solid work. A little too much thrillseeking though ... crime isn’t glamorous in fact, despite what Netflix tells us. Keep ‘em coming.

An incredible real-life story only enriched by truly exceptional journalism. I’m going straight back to the beginning and listening again.

Very good podcast, intriguing story that raises as many questions as it answers. Had a bit or everything from drama and action to romance and conspiracy theories. What more could you want.

Kudos to Rachel and her team for delivering a podcast masterpiece! Everything from the music thru to the nitty gritty details was perfection and kept me hanging on to the bitter end! Great unbiased journalism!
RachelFox4 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/24/20
Informative, intelligent and honest. It’s also frustrating, annoying and convoluted- (like every good story) Lawyer X has an excuse for everything .... as do the Victorian police.
Joblack71 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/22/20
The podcast tries hard and technically it succeeds. After all, it's produced by a professional outfit. But trying to make Nicola look like she's been hard done by is very on-the-nose. This woman has put the public at great risk and her unethical actions have cast disrepute on her...Read full review »

This story is thought provoking, opinion dividing and simply perplexing. I felt a little sick after the last episode after the insight into the real workings of a system we are supposed to trust. Challenges a lot of my understandings of our systems. I’m more confused than before listening. Bravo...Read full review »

Amazing journalism. It was incredible to go on this journey and hear from so many different sources. You end up like the reporters wondering what to think of it all but questioning the mainstream media’s portrayal of this complex figure. Loved the podcast - very addictive and thought provoking.

The topic of Lawyer X is one of great intrigue. I enjoyed series 1 and happened upon series 2 after an interview, where you discussed this case, on Australian True Crime. I was hopeful for some sort of resolution or at the very least clearer answers as to why she did what she did. This series...Read full review »

While in lockdown I have been fortunate to be able to do some driving for my job. Between jobs this week I couldn’t wait to get back in my car and hear the next instalment of this bizarre, complicated and fascinating piece of Melbourne history/current situation. An incredible story illustrated by quality journalism. It took me on a sad conflicted journey, the whole time wondering if it could get any more crazy, every episode offering more tantalising details of this real life crime saga that has literally brought the Victorian police force and our age...Read full review »

This podcast was so good I binged the entire thing in a week!! Incredible reporting. Some of the reviews here state an unfair bias toward Nicola - total rubbish! (Perhaps they are cops and is proof of their complete inability to accept any unfavourable comment about VicPol, who behaved...Read full review »

This is an incredibly compelling story. The journalists did a knockout job here. “All of our systems are rotten, our churches, banks and police. They’ve all fallen over”.
poplyfe1 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/02/20
A nuanced and thoughtful exploration of what happened behind the headlines. Incredible access to Gobbo and those around her makes tis riveting. The reveal in the final episode is a knockout.
