Excellent podcast - very interesting stories that are very well told. I love the calm style, the limited background music (too many podcasts have uninteresting loud music that really detracts.)

This is a great summary style true crime podcast with an in depth story telling style. I really appreciate the Australian content, as I’m particularly fed up with grating American accents. The soft and dulcet tones of the host and interviewer Emma are a real pleasure on the ear.

I queue up all the Mamamia podcasts that I love, and these ones are my weekend/holiday listening. Always such interesting stories and great depth and insight. Quality interviewers and well informed guests.

Thank you for doing an Acknowledgment to Country before each episode. It’s a good reminder that we live and work on Aboriginal land. I also believe it’s respectful and important in terms of cultural awareness and safety.

Don’t waste your time. Very tedious

I finally got around to listening to the entire podcast. Found it truly fascinating and worrying that even in modern times these people are able to control whole groups

I love my Thursdays thanks to this podcast. Every story is fascinating and well researched. Thank you!

Stop the woke acknowledgement and just get on with the podcasts. It is incredibly infuriating to be bombarded by this rubbish at the beginning of every single episode! What are you hoping to achieve by this so called acknowledgement…… which by the way is nothing more than another invented...Read full review »

Please get somebody else to record the advertisement for Myer! The voice makes me switch off!!!

The overwhelming impression is of mediocre dudes recounting their very basic buy-my-book hot takes about incidents and social phenomena they have only a very superficial understanding of. The hosts’ vocal fry really kills this cast for me.

Interview with Grace Tobin was great! Compassionate and informative. And wow, poor Matthew Leveson’s family 💕

Great new podcast to listen to. People are allowed to express their opinions- you needn’t take it to heart.
ozcandyoz via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 02/23/23
Easy to listen to. The subjects are not sensationalised and the questions are thoughtful. There have been quite a broad range of topics within the true crime genre. Love thursdays when a new episode drops.

It’s disappointing that a reputable podcast, which has always been interesting, is giving any credence or credibility to absolute nonsense babble like psychics. Pure fiction.

First this podcast bombarded listeners with their “take the c0v1d jab” advertisements, and now it is lectures about not celebrating “Australia Day”. I’m not interested in being lectured. Unfollow.

As an immigrant in this country for 25 years, fleeing from a country where me and my children would fear being killed or murdered because of the colour of our skins and coming to a country where we could feel safe and accepted, I’m truly disappointed at your attitude to January 26. I am indebted...Read full review »

Obsessed with this podcast. So many interesting stories & Gemma Bath is so easy to listen to. The most recent cult episode with Daniella was really interesting - what an incredible woman! Gemma & Daniella - the ultimate podcast duo!

Enjoy all the episodes but particularly found the interview with the criminal psychologist to be very interesting. Thankyou.

Thanks for creating such great content every week. I listen while doing the housework and actually look forward to housework as a result.

Thank you for putting this content together so well. I truly hope that it helps people understand more about how crime can impact on their lives. And I truly hope that it can help some of the missing person or cold cases reach a conclusion.

I like listening to this podcast but the latest episode “93 victims of Sam” really turned me off. The journalist who was interviewed should be shamed for referring to a killer the way she does/did. This episode was like 2 high school girls having a chat. Yuck.

Just listened to the latest episode “the goldfields death” and all I can hear for the entire episode is someone snoring. They are deep breathing with a blocked nose, it’s incredible distracting. Please rectify this episode and re-release it.

Absolutely love this podcast. But the latest ep all you can hear is someone breathing through the microphone! It’s really hard to listen too

This weeks episode with Jack Laurence was difficult to listen to, not because of who he is interviewing but more so because he is overtly colluding with convicted offenders? Where are his boundaries, he sounded incredibly bias throughout this interview. I agree that people are multidimensional...Read full review »

Best episode. Really compelling, and such an intelligent and comprehensive account. It sounds so likely the girls had an arranged meeting. How awful.

I second the review about bank robberies and pre 2000s being boring, sorry but true

Bank robberies and any stories before the 2000s are painfully boring sorry! Any chance of some interesting crimes from this Millenia??

Much preferring Gemma Bath as the host. Only criticism overall is that the questions for the guest are asked in a way that suggests the host already knows the answer. Interesting topics and guests.

I think that any criticism re Jessie or Gemma is so negative. I encourage you all to support these wonderful young women and acknowledge how professional their presentation is. It is so easy to criticise!! I challenge you to do a better presentation!!

I love this podcast!! It’s part of my weekly bath ritual. Loved Jessie as host & think Gemma is doing a good job as new host. My only feedback is that Gemma talks a little too fast & should try & slow down a little.

Wow, what an amazing women. Years ago my son’s friends lived in a share house and one of the housemates shot himself. After the police had finished they gave the housemates a card for a cleaner and told them it would cost $7,000, so being a bunch of 22 years old in shock and knowing they didn’t...Read full review »

Welcome Jemma Love your style but can you be more yourself it’s like you are mimicking previous host with interview skills and mannerisms Also hated the echo in the Robert Maxwell story and did you also refers to Rupert Murdock as Robert as well
bundybabe70 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 05/20/22
Not terrible, but tends to be a superficial discussion and cross-promotion of the guest’s podcast/documentary/book etc. There is no real discussion between the guest and host. Certainly the host will agree to whatever the guest says.
Jess and Pickles via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 05/20/22
the echo effects detract from the story - feel really weirdly placed and hard to listen to
appleisgr8_ via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 05/18/22
Tripped across this podcast. Well researched, written and presented. Jessie Stevens does a great job - no melodrama just strong, interesting presentation with fascinating guest speakers (who actually know what they’re talking about )
