Surprisingly - for the FT - unquestioning
I’m afraid this is not a great advertisement for the FT and falls a long way short of the standards I would expect from its journalism. By the end it felt merely exploitative, simply parading a series of awful personal tragedies for audience entertainment but with almost no analysis. Even some basic data on, for example, background rates of suicide amongst the population cohorts attending these retreats would have added hugely to our understanding.

It is an interesting podcast. However, it should be called “things to avoid if you have mental health issues”.
