moral understanding?
I'm writing this after listening to just the first episode, so maybe later the hosts get around to commenting on the immense harm caused by people like Escobar and the drug trade in general. But as I listen now it's shocking to hear the hosts discuss the "forgotten, unsupervised town left to do what they want" (assist the drug trade for profit) as possibly a good, fun thing. This discussion takes place in the context of talking about the Mexican math prodigy who grew up very poor. The connections the hosts draw between this and Varnamtown aren't what you might expect to say the least. Good grief.Read full review »

Hilarious! Bizarre! A fascinating tale that is almost beyond belief…

Placid. Kind of meh. Dealbreaker for me, ads every six minutes. The greed for ad revenue is getting out of hand. Takes you right out of the story, all of a sudden they’re talking about meal prep. Just no thanks.
