I do invite you do explore the Texas Hill Country wineries—there are a lot of them—and the High Plains AVA (which grows most of the grapes used in Texas wines). Texas has the fourth most wineries in the US, 602. Virginia, which you mentioned in your last podcast has 366. Oregon, #3, has 713. I'm sure it is discomforting to some that Texas is a player in the US wine industry—albeit a bit player behind California, as are all the other states—but is now a player.Read full review »
