Gut health and peri-menopause
So I am a 47 year old women who had no idea she was hitting the peri-menopause zone when I was 41, I just thought I was loosing my mind and that the fatigue, aching bones and bad sleep were all to do with stress and I actually imagined I had any number of illnesses or disease. I felt low and alone so imagine my relief when I started reading and listening to Liz Earle’s podcasts. I’ve found them so informative and myth busting, that they’ve opened my eyes to gut health and the impact it has on well being and in turn on my experience of menopause. Thanks to Liz and people like Meg Matthews I felt I had a voice and was able to go to my doctor and ask for HRT and only this week I asked to change my oestrogen to a gel and requested a testosterone gel too all which my GP was happy to facilitate. I can’t tell you how being informed has positively impacted my life and how grateful myself and my husband are to have had this information. Go have a listen, Liz gives off such a positive energy you can’t fail to gain something from it.
