Needed this!
As a rape victim, it’s hard to open up. I don’t see many representation of myself. People don’t like to talk about rape, and due to its “negative connotations” people try to sweep it under the rug. I went into nursing and I’m currently applying to nursing school and I realized being raped has helped me be able to empathize with my patients and be able to help them more then my counterparts. I’m glad to see others can turn a terrible moment in their lives, into connection and bring ability to help people! Much love!
