Hit in a part of me that I needed so badly as a victim. To hear the humor the relief. And the also real understanding.

As a rape victim, it’s hard to open up. I don’t see many representation of myself. People don’t like to talk about rape, and due to its “negative connotations” people try to sweep it under the rug. I went into nursing and I’m currently applying to nursing school and I realized being raped has...Read full review »

I have always felt like one way that we can prevent childhood sexual abuse is by talking about it so it becomes less of a taboo subject and harder to hide. There is so much shame where there should be support and I hope that Sebastian and every single person who has been on the podcast realizes...Read full review »

The topics on this podcast are heavy yet the host brings a light humor to it. Shout out to everyone who has shared their story. It such an inspiration to hear how something tragic happening to you does not mean your life cannot continue on with love, compassion, and happiness (not to mention humor).

This podcast is so diverse in situations and traumas that there is always a story you can relate to or feel for, and it can still be lighthearted at the same time.

Sebastian’s ability to form raw, genuine connections with people is unmatched. You can feel the authenticity from the audio of this podcast alone. But I believe his true talent shines by rewriting stories of deep pain and trauma into one’s of beauty and growth; and it is truly admirable....Read full review »

This show is outstanding. Every episode shows insight into how damaging this trauma can be. But I also love hearing the story of perseverance and strength from the survivors. Thank you, Sebastian and the many guests sharing their incredible journeys.

scales’ podcast is so deep and relatable! albeit he and his guests recount harrowing details of childhood trauma, the growth, strength and resilience both he and his guests show is inspiring. it’s amazing to have such a taboo topic talked about and to show listeners we aren’t alone.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sebastian while doing standup comedy in LA. I stumbled across his podcast and the concept really spoke to me. Like many people, I kept my traumatic experiences to myself in fear it would alienate me. The more I’ve opened up, the quicker I’ve healed which has allowed...Read full review »

It’s incredibly admirable to hear these kinds of stories and to acknowledge the fact that children lose their memories as a self-defense mechanism. I didn’t remember my sex abuse until years later when first discovering porn, and finding some of it familiar. Kids have the mindset that abusive...Read full review »

Sebastian, I wanted to thank you for sharing your story. As you know, the more we talk about sexual abuse, the less stigma will surround it. You were victimized by someone you should have been able to trust. I’m in awe by how brave you are by sharing your story and you are proof that people can...Read full review »

I never would have imagined that the experiences could be so similar across the board.
