“This was a great podcast, really enjoyed it. I liked the comment Jennifer made about what not to say ("I hit a dog once"). As a parent who has lost a daughter--different kind of situation of course--I can honestly say no one knows what to say. What I can recommend is that you don't say, "If there's anything I can do..." It's so much better to just do something. Shovel the driveway, or bring over dinner or just give a hug.
