Hmm. Seemed ok at first, but
.this show went way downhill fast. By episode 5, Laura Palmer is using really generalizing language to talk about sex work. As a former sexworker myself, I can promise you people don't just do that work to make some guy happy. Having someone book your clients can be a form of protection and take some of the pressure off. If a person is beating the sex workers he employs, that's obviously bad. But there are lots of people running safe places for sex workers to ply their trade and most of them don't care if you come or go. This stereotype of the violent man from a fatherless childhood who beats women needs to stop. You are infantilizing sex workers when you promote this image, and that promotes taking sex workers' autonomy away. Have some journalistic integrity.Read full review »

Laura Palmer does a great job...her voice is calm and respectful. Lisa comes to life as a person, not just the victim of a crime. Most of all, the case is back in the news...all of which may lead the finally finding Lisa and justice for her family.
