Instead of wondering what the next phase of life will be, JLD actually asks smart women for advice. We owe a great debt to these Trail Blazers.

This is becoming one of my favorite podcasts. Loved the one with Rhea and Jane of course but all of them have been interesting and Julia is perfect as she is in everything she does. I hope she won’t take a long vacation because we will miss her. Well enjoy your vacation. We still have one more to...Read full review »

I just heard about the podcast and when I saw Fran Lebowitz was a guest that’s all it took to listen. Julia is a great interviewer and I look forward to more episodes.

This is the BEST podcast I’ve ever listened to! As a 38 year female who has just come to terms with my mortality, this podcast is a soothing balm to my heart. It’s so funny, real, and empowering! Every woman should listen!

I love hearing from all these women and how different their lives are, but how strong they they have been through it all. Being a 37 year old woman, I have enjoyed aging and I find so much comfort in how much life they have experienced and everything I have to look forward to! Thank you for being...Read full review »

Oprah, Diane and the likes.,…move aside because JLD is fresh and has now what you used to have. She’s not jaded and an incredible, simple, compassionate interviewer!

Thank you Julia, and thank your Mum too. Fantastic interviews, then I love the debrief with your Mum, and afterwards I need to call my Mum to share what I have learned.

These are just the most real, loving, funny, heartfelt conversations. I have laughed and cried in every single one, and I am so grateful to hear these voices and stories about what life has actually been like for these real women. Beautifully done

Thank you for giving these wise, relevant women a voice-in-conversation to speak about their lives and the most important things from THEIR point of view. And thank you for asking the same questions, so we get similar dirt/advise/words of wisdom from each Mighty Woman. Bravo 🙌🏼

Julia is filling this massive void of hearing from older womxn. As a womxn in my mid-30s, I truly appreciate the wisdom from older womxn. I realize how many have been my guides along the way. So much of media and podcasting (especially comedy!) is still very male-centered. We are supposed to look...Read full review »

Just finished listening to the first episode. I’ve gleaned some wisdom already. I will listen to anything involving Julia Louis Dreyfus. She is brilliant! ❤️ ps Here is my favourite quote: “a too clean house is the sign of a wasted life” Lisa Waverley, Nova Scotia

I have never taken the time to write a podcast review, but this one is so wonderful I had to pause to comment. Julia is an excellent host! I love her natural curiosity, insightful questions, and irreverent cursing. The call with her momma at the end is so heartwarming.

This podcast is excellent and it’s so lovely to listen to women who can give advice and share their wisdom on what to expect as you get older. The issues they speak of are issues I am beginning to address myself. How aging permeates your thoughts around all issues ‘should I get a puppy at 70?’ ...Read full review »

JLD is a wonderful interviewer. And this topic, the brilliance in older women, it’s definitely about time! Thank you, JLD. This podcast helps me look forward to shining brightly as I age, not to being made irrelevant. Bravo!

Julia’s voice and interview style is pleasant captivating and smooth. She is a great story teller and her calls to mommy are precious. So far I love the eclectic group of women who have been chosen for the shows. I am looking forward to who comes next.

Gosh. I can’t say enough about this. I have always resonated with women older than I am but also always seek out the wisdom of women older than I am. And this podcast does just that. I am in love with it.

The phone calls to your Mom at the end of the show are absolutely precious! My hope is that I’ll make to my 90’s and to still have deeply wonderful conversations with my 2 daughters. I adore your guests! 🙏

I love this podcast. As a woman in her 30’s I feel so inspired to be able to listen to these wonderful women. There isn’t enough content like this out there so this is really special. I love the dynamic between Julia and her mom so much I’d love to hear them talk longer!

I’m 48 and aging is constantly creeping into mind. Usually it’s surrounded by a negative thought, aura or feeling. I love this podcast … the idea is great, but why do we have to pay so much? We already bought the phone and so many other services. There is enough other content out there that is easier to listen to!

These are so good! JLD is warm and charming and real. I am not usually a fan of interviews but these are great. Like I’m in a room with my friends. So interesting and down to earth.

I really enjoy the show because of the loose conversational style. The back and forth is interesting. And the sudden right turn in changing topic that Julia, the host does. Please keep the show going. As an old lady myself its nice to be listened to plus topics are being discussed that I remember.

It makes me so happy and also makes me feel wiser (!) listening to JLD interview these women and then call her mother at the end of each episode. This podcast is such a gift to us all. My only request is for the marmalade recipe. And for these podcasts to continue through many more seasons.
