I found this podcast as a suggestion to my listening preferences. I chose to listen to determine if I would like the podcast since I love history. I happened to start right when Casey and Scott presented the episodes of how to recognize truth and the steps to take. There are people I know who...Read full review »

Such a fantastic podcast. I’ve been listening for a while and find that Casey and Scott present church history topics in an honest and well researched way. I appreciate their candor about difficult topics in church history. They present these topics without sugar coating but also making certain...Read full review »

I love this podcast. I learn so much from their scholarship and I find them quite entertaining as well. I think many people would be able to resolve a lot of church history concerns if they would take the time to dive in and study the whole story. This podcast helps so much in that study process....Read full review »

Your final episode on succession was exceptional. Proving contraries is so worth the time and effort. Yes, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has restored truths and the keys of sealing power, but our fellow believers in God are blessed when the follow the truths they have. I’ve been listening for a few weeks and I’ve listened to several series (Blacks & the Priesthood, polygamy, the endowment, Church finance, etc.). I most appreciate that they put the history in context. Something that’s always been hard for me is that the Doctrine and Covenants is not...Read full review »

The hosts of this podcast are religious scholars from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They are very open and clear about this and the importance of using scholarship to strengthen one’s faith. They are clearly biased in sharing their views and beliefs, however, they also...Read full review »

I first started listening when the series about the martyrdom of Joseph Smith came out and have been hooked ever since. I’ve gone back and listened to past episodes and series and have kept up on the current episodes ever since. Thanks for the great work! Keep it up!

I was impressed by Bro Gehly and his testimony. I had no idea of this church and their belief in the Book of Mormon. Obviously there are some differences in doctrine and practices, but the podcast highlighted more commons than differences. Thank you.
