So glad I found this podcast! My favourite Jays podcast now. Love the current and throw back discussions (loved the latest chat with David Cone). Big fan!

There are a lot of very good baseball/Jays centric podcasts out there, and I listen to them all, but no one does conversations better. Thanks Mike for doing the research to ask the really interesting questions, and thanks to all of your guests for just opening up and allowing us all in behind the...Read full review »

Listened from day one and truly look forward his latest interviews.

This is a fantastic show! I started listening in the off season between ‘21 and ‘22 and haven’t missed an episode. With all the doom and gloom on twitter (and other podcasts!) it’s nice to hear a balanced and reasonable assessment of the team and their outlook. Mike - I swear you are sometimes...Read full review »

This is from Harry Taylor aged 11 who is a big fan of Jays and now Deep Left Field. Listened to a half dozen on a road trip to Cooperstown and to see the Jays at Os late August. Favourite interviews are the ones with Kevin Gausman esp the one about how much he likes living in Toronto. Thanks for...Read full review »

I have just started listening regularly and enjoy the show a lot. Between games, when you want to be around others who know, love and think Jays, this pod scratches the itch. Mike Wilner is a thoughtful, enthusiastic Jay fan; he gives an insightful wrap up of recent games and, in commentary...Read full review »

Mike exists in a echo chamber. He’s so insanely insecure he cannot handle being wrong and sticks his fingers in his ears when confronted.

My favourite baseball podcast by far, and I’ve listened to many. Fantastic interviews that go beyond the surface-level, generic questions and answers and provide a deeper look into the game and the lives and mindsets of the players. I started listening when my son was first born and had to walk...Read full review »

I certainly enjoy your podcasts and I miss hearing your call on the radio play by play broadcasts you once did ! But , I’m glad that I can still hear commentary I value your thoughts and opinions . Keep up your good work !

I listen to Mike’s podcast once in a while….usually in bed, when I’m having trouble sleeping. His 15 minute weekly recap is the most boring segment of broadcasting ever….900 seconds of listening to week old news. Truly a segment Mike does just to hear himself speak. He is the most arrogant of...Read full review »

Really enjoy all the interviews, cool hearing from players from other teams too. Mike asks good questions. Do I agree with everything Mike says? No. Should you agree with everything you listen to? Probably not. (P.S. I made the trip to Seattle from Saskatchewan in 2018 and I just happened to run...Read full review »

I love listening to Mike and the fantastic down to earth interviews he has every week. Fell in love with the game during a trip to Toronto in 2015 and quick found Blue Jays Talk when I returned to the UK. That may not be the same now, but Deep Left Field has become part of my Thursday evening....Read full review »

Mike blocked me on twitter for no reason 😂. He tweets Davis Schneider slander. I respond and say “Davis is 1for2 with a walk since your tweet.” Mike goes on to curl up in a ball and block me haha. He has tendencies of a sheltered 12 year old child.

My name is Randy and I’m a longtime baseball fan and a fan of the Blue Jays since they began. Mike does an excellent job bringing in the players and management and giving his personal opinion on the future. The present and the past couldn’t enjoy a podcast more never missed one. Thank you, Mike

I found your podcast for the first time this season and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it. Wilner chastises any fan who questions how good the Jays are. Says they’re not real fans like a gatekeeper despite the fact the Jays aren’t exactly a model franchise, don’t tell Mike that though he thinks they can never do wrong. Every trade, signing and move is correct according to him. Wilner...Read full review »

I live overseas in a different time zone, which makes it hard to watch games and follow the Jays. Your podcast makes it easy to follow the team, which I have loved since I was eight years old, but the interviews add extra insight from a human, player perspective. I started listening to this podcast in Spring 2023 but have been reading Mike’s columns in the Star for a long while now. I like Wilner but the format of the podcast is catered to casual fans. By this I'm referring to the first 10-15 minutes spent recapping the previous week seems redundant if you follow the team. Plus Mike spends a lot of time dumbing down things that casual fans may not understand. I'm not...Read full review »

Good blue jays content, but far too concerned about non-baseball issues from a disturbingly woke perspective. Would be a much better podcast if Mike Wokerness just did interviews and skipped the virtue signal preaching session at the beginning.

Great to have found your pod Mike! This an an awesome pod to listen to. I like your weekly recaps and the quality of your guests. It’s clear that you are well respected within the game after all these years. Keep ‘em coming Mike!

This is a great podcast where Mike really takes you inside the game - great interviews like recent one with Tony Kemp. I salute Mike for calling out discrimination and bad behaviour in baseball. I’ve been listening to Mike for years and I love his approach to interviews. His guests are genuinely engaged and happy to speak casually and candidly. This is the best pod if you want to get to know your blue jays players beyond the diamond.

Mike Wilner’s voice is irreplaceable on the Toronto sports scene. Speaking out with courage is often (always) fraught with the peril of closed or angry minds.
