Understanding the why behind your workout
After years of believing the “if you’re not sore, you didn’t work hard enough” or “if you’re not breathless, then you aren’t pushing yourself,” Evlo is a breath of fresh air. I love learning about the anatomy, tips for muscle activation, hormones, and just general fitness tips from Dr. Shannon. This podcast is a beautiful complement to Evlo’s workouts with the “why” behind the workouts. I love hearing from Dr. Shannon because she synthesizes complex topics into a digestible podcast- with recommendations on how to FIX it (ex: why reducing high intensity workouts can help fix your cortisol levels that affect every system in your body)!
