A New Way to Think & Approach Fitness That Really Feels Good!
I have listen to all of the Fit Body, Happy Joints episodes and looking forward to listening and learning every week. Dr. Shannon DPT talks about evidence-based fitness information. Sometimes I have to listen to an episode twice because my mind was blown. Wait- did I just hear that!? Did she really just say I don’t have to do Burpee‘s or push-ups anymore! She told me to take more than one rest between working out different areas of my body and take a rest day whenever I needed it. STOP pushing through the pain! Cardio doesn’t have to be extensive or grueling whatever elevates your heart is cardio even if you’re lifting weights. My favorite episodes thus far are ‘How to utilize your nervous system’ (May 26, 2021) and ‘Elevated cortisol:’ (June 24, 2021)- because yes that was me for the last year and it feels like it’s finally balancing out. I follow Dr. Shannon DPT on Instagram and have done the free workouts on repeat because I was not an instant believer that what she said would make me feel good. BUT my body is feeling better I am stronger without feeling torn down and worn out. I can tell because swimming, running, and biking has felt better than ever; and I feel better overall about the effort I put into keeping myself healthy strong and happy. If you are working so hard to get fit or stay fit and don’t feel like it’s working out then you need to listen to Fit Body, Happy Joints- you just might find out what is holding you back. My only suggestion is, the more often Dr. Shannon DPT can break something down into every day examples, such as when you talked about levers and lifting, it makes it so much easier to remember what was said.

I have been doing the Evlo workouts for a few months and it has changed the way I workout. However, I was...Read full review »

I loved the episode about having an effective workout in a shorter amount of...Read full review »
